- The police uniform shows identification, authority, professionalism and unity. A police officer in full dress uniform is known as one of the sharpest-looking people around. It is each officer’s responsibility to maintain a clean, neat uniform in good repair, and to know how to wear that uniform properly.
- POLICE is worn ¾” below seam on left shoulder of all jackets (except leather) and uniform shirts, top edge of patch parallel to floor. Shoulder patch is the same for all ranks. Optional Patches: MLEA or FBI NA shoulder patches worn ¾” below seam on right shoulder and centered on sleeve of Eisenhower jacket and shirts.
- The field training patch is not authorized for wear on the Class A uniform shirt. The rank insignia shall be worn centered on the edge of each collar, parallel to the top of the collar, except as noted below.
